Sonaya's Sire Elito:

  • Was imported from Sweden in 1998.

  • Received top scores for free jumping and at his stallion inspection as a 7 year old.

  • Spent a season in Florida under World Cup rider Mario Deslauriers moving up to Level 6 & 7 show jumping where he placed consistently.

  • Elito was also shown by Paul Halpern. Here is a video of Paul Halpern and Elito jumping Level 6 (130cm or 4'3") at Blainville International Horse Show where he placed in all classes entered.

  • Electro has had 1 win and 24 placing in 60 international Grand Prix starts. Among them he received 3rd in the Helsinki World Cup qualifier, 2nd in 1.50 classes at Olympia, London and Bremen.

  • Electro was part of the 3rd placing team in the Nation's Cup, Washington Horse show 1996.

Sonaya's Great Grand Sire Voltaire (Electro's sire):

  • Voltaire is the result of crossing two outstanding bloodlines: Furioso II, and Gotthard.

  • Furioso II, produced 200 state premium mares and at least 70 approved stallions of which several are standing at stud in other continents.  

  • Vital in Voltaire's pedigree is the connection in the third generation to the thoroughbreds More Magic xx on one side and Furioso xx on the other side.

  • Voltaire is out of Gogo Moeve by the Hanoverian stallion, Gotthard. Her dam sire is the English Thoroughbred, More Magic xx, who was the sire of 1980 Moscow Olympic dressage gold medalist, Mon Cherie.

  • Cor de la Bryere has had an incredible impact on the Holsteiner breed, occurring in more than 70% of Holsteiner pedigrees, and is credited for improving the breed's jumping technique. He also had a huge impact on the Oldenburg breed.
